JANET BUNNELL, CPA, CA

Principal

Janet was raised in Vancouver and graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor degrees in

Science (Cell Biology and Genetics) and in Education (Secondary Science). After teaching in the public school system with the

Peel District (Mississauga) and Vancouver School Boards, she achieved her Chartered Accountant designation while at a

boutique public practice firm with a focus on small to medium enterprises and self-employed individuals.

To further her tax experience, she became a specialist in the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED)

program when she worked as a financial auditor for the Canada Revenue Agency.

Janet is licensed by the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC and is a member of the

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.

In her spare time, Janet enjoys her best life which includes coaching soccer, spending time with her family,

learning hip hop dance, and occasional film/TV appearances as a background actor.

JOY, CPA

Staff Accountant

Joy began her professional career with an Honors degree in Bachelor of Business Administration

(Accounting and Finance) and a Master of Business Administration.

She achieved her CPA designation in 2014 while with a multi-national bank.

OMNI was pleased to welcome Joy to the firm in 2020 as an integral member of our staff.

KAILEY

Administrative Support

Kailey brings a diverse background with working experience in administration, operations, and management
and a Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics and International Development Studies).

Her interests include volunteering with the Greater Vancouver Roller Derby Association

and the BC Powerlifting Association.

OMNI strives to have a positive impact in the community.

The firm has adopted a street in the Township of Langley and has committed to keeping it clean of rubbish and debris.

You may see Janet and her family out and about in their fluorescent vests and garbage pickers on their environmental quest!

Janet has teamed up with CPA Canada as a volunteer for their Financial Literacy Program to fulfill

their mission to deliver unbiased objective financial literacy education and information to improve the

overall level of financial literacy in Canada.

Janet also served as the Treasurer for six years for the Langley Performing Arts Society, a non-profit society

which is comprised of the Opus One Women's Choir, the Senior Opus Singers, and the Langley Concert Band.

She was in charge of budgeting, financial reporting, and overall governance for these combined groups.
